Etere's Federated Architecture enables coordinated interoperability and secure asset sharing across semi-autonomous, geographically distributed sites interconnected via network. Key capabilities include:

• Extensible catalogue with optimized retrieval across multiple sites


• Centralized media processing with cross-system replication


• Asset search, import/export, and remote T-workflow execution


• Standards-based integration via SQL, XML, Linked Server, and Web Services

Integration Technologies

Remote site management is supported through two mechanisms you can set in Configuration\Configuration Editor\Sites :

Linked Server — Site A configures a SQL Linked Server connection to directly manage assets and T-workflows on remote Site B.

Web Services — Site B exposes a Web Service endpoint, allowing Site A to remotely manage its assets and T-workflows.

Note: All federated sites should use the same video standard to ensure consistent timecode management. Supported standards include SD formats (PAL, NTSC, SECAM), HD formats (720p, 1080i, 1080p), and film/telecine acquisition formats (24p, 23.98p).
