Etere MOS Gateway allows exchanging information between Newsroom Computer Systems (NRCS) and Media Object Servers (MOS), passing newsroom events/data and pushing media objects to Newsroom Computer Systems.
Etere MOS Gateway is based on the MOS protocol (Media Object Server Communications Protocol), the industry standard for interfacing, connecting, and integrating newsroom computer systems and broadcast ingest/editing/playout systems. It permits
Etere MOS Gateway can manage the sending and reception of the following information:
•Object status: It sends through MOS protocol NRCS information relative to the status of objects sent as Running Orders.
•Objects identifier and descriptive information: It sends identifiers and descriptive information to NRCS. In a MOS environment, they are interpreted as objects, modified, and deleted. This lets NRCS know the MOS content, execute searches, and manipulate sent objects.
•Playlists management and exchange: NRCS creates and sends playlists as Running Orders through MOS protocol. Etere MOS Gateway deals with sent playlists' interpretation and transformation in a comprehensible language for the Etere system. At the same time, NRCS can determine an on-air order of objects sent as Running Orders
