A quicker and simpler way to prepare a shared folder is to use a local account (in this example, sis) and then set a samba password for it.
sudo smbpasswd -a sis
Then prepare the shared folder inside /etc/samba/smb.conf
[data01] # or [nome_shared_data_tag]
comment = Etere shared folder
path = /home/data
browseable = yes
read only = no
create mask = 0777
directory mask = 0777
valid users = sis
It is better to restart the services:
sudo systemctl restart smbd nmbd
From now, any Windows user can connect to it through \\ip.of.shared.foldermachine\nameoftheFolder ,
nameofthefolder = the same name specified in the square brackets in the smb.conf file [data01]
the system will ask for the local user and the samba password
Note: If windows does not save connection credentials to the folder, you can force them persistently from Windows Powershell
Example:
net use Z: \\172.31.230.113\BirtReports /user:sis Etere968760 /persistent:yes
Tips: the configurations in this page are only an example.
