8.1 HSM Media

The HSM Media module provide a platform for operator to manage tape media in HSM Library, you can delegate tape media inserting and ejecting to a dedicated team that does not have access to the main server. Appropriate permissions must be granted to users accessing to this module.

You can view a list of tape media when you login to Etere Web and select the HSM Media module.

You can select which are the columns you would like to view in this page, refer to Web HSM Media in Configuration module for more information.

Available Action

From the Action menu, you can perform the following actions after you had selected a tape media:

•Eject the selected tape media from the library

•Inject a new tape media to the library

Select From Media Source

From the display, you can select all tape media from any available source or view all tape media from all source.

Select From Media Pool

Next, narrow the search of tape media by selecting the Main Pool or other Media Pool where the tape media was assigned.
