inside your linux enviroment you can access to shared windows folder by mounting them using cifs mounts
sudo apt install -y cifs-utils
then on /etc/fstab/
sudo nano /etc/fstab/
you can add this line (remember to create the mountpoint directory with sudo mkdir /mnt/mountpointname
sudo mount -t cifs //server/share /mnt/yourmountpoint -o username=user,password=pass,vers=3.0
it is important to specify vers=X which stands for the smb protocol version. if it doesn't match with the one in use in the windows shared directory it won't mount.
if you don't want to use username and password in clear you can put them on an external file, ex:
username=yourUserName
password=yourPassword
domain=your.domain.com # you can skip this line if you're not using a domain
so you can give it only administrator permissions in order to be checked, and in the fstab line you can specify it. Example:
//172.31.230.110/data /mnt/asusw1102ub_data cifs credentials=/path/to/cred,vers=3.1.1,uid=1000,gid=1000,iocharset=utf8,_netdev,nofail,x-gvfs-show >
