72.13 Artist Manager

Artist Manager allows to easily define (insert, modify and delete) artists within the Etere's Database; the artist database contains all the information required for musical classification and scheduling through the definition of artist's relevant fields (e.g. Surname, Name, Stage name, Group, Nationality, etc). 

As shown below, artists can be searched according to various criteria:

name - full-text

When you enter the first character of the Artist name in search field, all suggested artist’s names matched the character would be displayed to expedite the selection. 

In the Search results grid, an additional “Country” column indicate the nationality of the artist.

Creating a New Artist

To create a new Artist right-click on the 'New Artist' button located in the toolbar, a new empty form will be created to insert relevant data including:

Field - Picture
Description : Select a JPG, BMP or GIF image for the artist. There is no specific size and format when inserting artist images to asset form, the inserted image would be resized to fix into the asset form.

Field - Surname
Description : Enter the surname of the artist.

Field - Name
Description : Enter the name of the artist.

Field - Stage name
Description : If the artist is identified by an stage name, provide the stage name.

Field - Group
Description : Enter the band name.

Field - Role
Description : Set the role of the Artist. Roles are defined in Configuration > Settings > Roles.

Field - Country
Description : Select the country which the artist comes from.

Field - Minimum distance days
Description : Define the minimum time-between-transmissions of same artist songs. For instance, setting "0 days and 00:30:00,00" means that the minimum time between the onset of two songs of the current artist is 30 minutes.

Field - Personal Data...
Description : Specify artist's personal data including:
▪Address
▪City
▪Country
▪Zodiacal sign
▪Sex (male, female, transgender male, transgender female, etc)
▪Birth date
▪Death date

Field - Biography
Description : Enter the artist's biography.

Note:
At least one field must be provided for each artist. Else, a warning message will prompt to prevent the user from saving the artist data.
 
Removing artists

Function - [Delete]
Description : Deletes the current artist from the database definitively.

Function - [Replace to]
Description : Select and delete a duplicate artist, all the references of the duplicated artist will be replaced with the current artist.
