Strategic editor

4.9.1 Events management

Strategic editor's web interface is made by 3 main areas:

Station and menus: Here are displayed the current station and the menus (Edit, Show, Tools, Manage segments) which contain the functions to manage the schedule.
Event details: When an event is selected, here are displayed its details (order details, asset details, times, etc.).
Schedule view: Here is where the blocks structure and the events contained inside it are displayed. Above the schedule, a calendar allows to select the schedule day to load.

SCHEDULE VIEW

Like the desktop application, the table shows the list of events in an horizontal way.
In the BLOCK column are displayed all the segments in the blocks structure made with Weekly Schedule desktop application, ordered by the segments' starting time. Here is also displayed the type assigned to each segment.
The STATUS column shows how much space is left in the segment, according to the sum of the durations of the events inside it. In case the total duration is greater than the segment's duration, this column warns the user displaying the word "Exceeds" and the amount of time.
The EVENT columns contain the actual scheduled events.

MANAGE EVENTS

It's possible to insert events clicking on the + button on the corner of a cell. A search form will be displayed on the right side, allowing to look for events in the following ways:

Search commercial orders: Only assets linked to contracts will be retrieved. It's possible to filter the search by inserting information related to the order line.

Search all assets: This global asset search allows to look for any asset in the database. Available filters include asset ID, code, description and type (by default the type filter is automatically compiled with the same type assigned to the segment).

White list: Search among all the events inserted in the white list.

Black list: Search among all the events inserted in the black list.

Search available rights: It allows to look for programs linked to BMS contracts, which can be scheduled in the selected time and day and which have some runs or reruns available. For more information about programs rights management, please refer to the chapter 6.0.0.0 Etere BMS and its sub-chapters.

Note: Black list and white list management need to be enabled first. See chapter 202.5.5.0 White list and black list for more details.

To delete a scheduled event, click on the - button on the corner of a cell.

In case the deleted event is linked to a commercial order and the black list management is enabled, it will be inserted in the black list. It will be possible to re-schedule it as mentioned above.

Web Strategic Editor allows also to move events with a simple drag & drop. The remaining time for both the starting and the ending segment is automatically updated.
